Dr. Nancy Lay
Optometrist
Dr. Lay earned her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston and practises full-scope optometry, from comprehensive exams and contact lens fittings to the management of ocular disease. Originally from the Greater Toronto Area, she is delighted to return home to care for patients in her own community.
More about Dr. Lay
Recognized throughout her education for academic excellence and leadership, Dr. Lay received multiple scholarships, earned Dean's List honours, and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honour Society. She served as Co-President of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students and mentored fellow students as a teaching assistant and peer tutor.
She completed advanced clinical training in Veterans Affairs hospitals, community health centres, and private practices across the United States, with special interests in fitting soft and specialty contact lenses and developing individualized treatment plans for dry eye disease. She believes open communication and patient education are essential to lifelong eye health.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys pilates and pickleball, exploring the outdoors, and time with friends and family.
